Black Diamond Heavies

It is extremely rare that a group gets called back for the third time to 4AD in such a short time, but the energy that comes free when Black Diamond Heavies is on stage is so addictive that there really was no escape. With only the two of them they produce a glowing sound that most bands can only dream of. Reverent James Leg, blessed with a throat that even makes Tom Waits pale, has a set of golden fingers making the most heavenly sounds with his Fender Rhodes. Hereby he gets well supported by an explosive drummer, Van Campbell, who provides the band with a crushing drive. Besides its own in blues, gospel and soul drenched songs the group also draws from a wide range of covers (including the Stones, Nina Simone, T-Model Ford, Junior Kimbrough, Ike & Tina, AC / DC and even Van Halen) who, after hearing the Black Diamond Heavies editing, will never have the same sound. Do not miss this swinging party and come to the conclusion that rock and roll cannot be declared from dead.

The Tubs

The Tubs, also occasionally known as the Chamber Orchestra of the Ghent cafe Fatima, rose from the remains of The Undeep Tubs. Although originally from Poperinge, the Alabama of Flanders, the quartet found a new musical home in Ghent. They sure sound Metropolitan with their blend of dirty blues, razor-sharp and oily garage surf. The Tubs are musically situated somewhere between Bo Diddley, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Cramps and Oblivians.
