Illuminati is the title of the photo exhibition which takes place at the bar of the 4AD, containing several scenes. Each scene is a unique piece by itself, yet it is also part of a larger whole.
Illuminati is not only an attempt to reach beyond the boundaries of the senses, the limits of the physical body and the illusions of the mind, but also a tribute to all the bands I have been photographing over the past year, of which some in particular.
As all the layers of direct consciousness slowly vanish, only experience remains as a kind of collective unconscious force that exists in each of us, and transcends time and space, manifesting and reaffirming itself in the ever-present. This experience can be found in music - amongst other things.
Especially for this exhibition Delphine Lecompte wrote some of her well-known, particularly sharp poems.
